Norman has a copy of the RAF Form 540, Operations Record Book, for the month of June 1944 and beside the entry of the night of June 7th was written the following details:-
6 S.A.S. Troops dropped on two D.Z.'s
[...]two aircraft (*) took part in Operation "Cooney"
with the object of dropping S.A.S. Troops to disrupt
enemy communications between Redon and Saint-
Malo. Weather was good and no enemy opposition
was experienced.
